SIHA is seeking a qualified Training Facilitator to design and deliver a capacity-building workshop on Coalition Building for Ethiopian Women’s Rights Organizations (WROs) and grassroots women advocates.

This training will strengthen participants’ ability to build inclusive feminist coalitions, advocate for enabling policy environments, and enhance organizational resilience in restrictive civic spaces.

The assignment will run for two weeks in November 2025, including preparation, pre/post-training assessments, a three-day in-person workshop in Addis Ababa, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Develop a detailed training plan and agenda tailored to the Ethiopian context.
Prepare engaging and practical training materials (PowerPoints, handouts, and case studies).
Conduct pre- and post-training assessments in Amharic and English.
Facilitate a three-day interactive workshop (November 19–21, 2025).
Submit a comprehensive training report (10–15 pages) with lessons learned and recommendations.
Training Focus Areas
Principles and practice of coalition and alliance formation.
Advocacy and policy engagement in restrictive environments.
Adaptive and resilient organizational strategies for WROs.
Legal literacy and navigation of civic and policy frameworks.
Building intersectional, inclusive, and sustainable feminist movements.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in Gender Studies, Human Rights, Law, Political Science, or related field.
At least 3 years of experience facilitating trainings on advocacy, policy engagement, or civil society strengthening.
Proven understanding of Ethiopia’s civic and policy environment affecting WROs.
Strong participatory facilitation and adult learning skills.
Fluency in English and Amharic (knowledge of other local languages is an asset).
Only applicants currently based in Ethiopia will be considered.
Deliverables
Tailored training plan and materials.
Pre- and post-training assessments.
Draft and final training reports with analysis and recommendations.
