Description

Specific Responsibilities:

The Human Resources Officer is responsible for managing the full recruitment process, ensuring the organisation efficiently attracts and hires qualified candidates following internal policies and Syrian labour law. Working closely with hiring managers and other departments, the HR Officer supports staffing needs and actively contributes to the development and implementation of effective recruitment strategies.

Working with the department on the staffing plan
Advertising all vacancies on the proper channels and making sure that all posts are accessible
Conduct Interviews and contribute to the selection process in line with IDA P&Ps
Keeping a tracking sheet of the recruitment status and documenting the recruitment process
Updating Job Descriptions and making sure that all JDs have been signed and put in each employee’s file
Making sure that all new staff have been oriented about IDA Code of Conduct, Policy and Procedures
Making a tracker to make sure the staff have signed and understood IDA Standards of Conduct
Conduct an induction program for newcomers, making sure the new staff are well-oriented the all departments
Provide regular periodic orientation to all staff members regarding IDA policies and procedures
Making sure that the recruitment process has been well filed
Ensure all recruitment practices comply with Syrian labour law and organisational policies.
Participate in the development and review of recruitment policies and tools
Qualifications:

Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Microsoft Windows) and software
University degree in a relevant discipline
Minimum experience of 4 years in Human Resources
Stable and robust character, and a team player
Excellent communication skills and fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic.
Strong initiative and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles.
Flexible, enthusiastic and willing to learn from others.
Ability to multitask and cope with competing demands under tight deadlines.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven
Ability to cope with high workload and stress.
Identify priority activities and assignments.
Context/specific skills, knowledge and experience:
Knowledge of Syrian Labour Law
Experience of working with local and international partners;
Experience of conducting assessments and monitoring activities;
