Description

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in international development, business management, Project Management, Social Sciences, or related field.
A master’s degree in a related discipline is desirable.
General Work Experience:

Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in humanitarian or development programming.
Proven experience in programme management and oversight in Jordan or similar contexts.
Demonstrated experience in business development, donor engagement, and proposal development.
Strong understanding of institutional donors, UN agencies, foundations, and funding mechanisms.
Experience in managing vocational training or entrepreneurship projects targeting youth, women, or refugees.
Familiarity with cash-based programming and community development approaches.
Experience in conducting baseline surveys, needs assessment and market assessment.
Experience managing multi-sector programmes and/or consortia is a strong asset.
Experience working with INGOs and/or national NGOs in complex operating environments.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:

Strong strategic thinking and programme oversight skills.
Proven ability to identify, develop, and secure funding opportunities.
Excellent donor engagement, negotiation, and representation skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in crisis or emergency settings.
Skilled in project design, proposal development, and project cycle management.
Strong reporting, documentation, and data monitoring experience.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Leadership & Soft Skills:

Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
Culturally sensitive and able to work with diverse communities.
Ability to handle pressure and multitask effectively.
Collaborative team player and network builder
Language Requirements:

Fluency in Arabic is required.
Proficiency in English is highly desirable.
Abilities:

Strategic Decision-Making: Ability to make program-aligned decisions for effective delivery.
Team Leadership: Ability to guide and supervise project teams effectively.
Crisis & Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational and contextual risks.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with local actors and authorities.
Representation: Represent the organization and project confidently in meetings and coordination forums.
