Job purpose:
The Case Worker will play a critical role in delivering child protection (CP) and psychosocial support (PSS) services to vulnerable children in Aleppo. Operating within World Vision’s protection policies and standards, the Case Worker will be responsible for identifying individuals at risk, conducting comprehensive assessments, developing tailored intervention plans, ensuring timely follow-up, and facilitating appropriate referrals to specialized services. This position contributes to the overall wellbeing and safety of affected populations by promoting resilience, dignity, and access to essential protection services.
Major Responsibilities
Activity:
Participation and support in identifying children who are most at risk.
Conducting individual sessions with children according to the curriculum and all steps of case management, processes, and relevant tools.
Carrying out risk and needs assessments, care plans, safety plans, case conferences, referrals, and providing emotional support to children.
Ensuring proper documentation and compiling case files in accordance with the protection program's information management system.
Ensuring that all high-risk cases are handled directly in coordination with the direct supervisor (Case Management Supervisor).
In collaboration with the supervising manager, working closely with other organizations to ensure smooth referrals.
Actively participating in weekly case management team meetings.
Conducting weekly clinical supervision and consultations.
Providing input for activity reports and weekly reports.
Closely collaborating with the psychosocial support and child protection teams, as well as other sectors as needed.
Regular attendance at field-level case management meetings.
Contributing to the development of proposed purposeful activities for case management.
Performing other tasks related to child protection activities and other initiatives as assigned by the responsible/supervising manager.
Knowledge/Qualifications for the Role
Required Professional Experience:
Minimum of five years of experience working in a relief or development NGO with a focus on protection sector/Case Management**.**
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:
A university degree or diploma from an institute in education, sociology, psychology, or any other related field.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:
Experience with refugees, emergency response and NGO experience preferred.
Computer skills, in particular email, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Fluency in Arabic required, and ability to write and speak English.
Good report writing skills.
Detailed oriented and able to verify data quality.
Strong communication skills (Strong interpersonal skills.).
Good contextual knowledge of the local community and social/cultural constraints, realities and organizational relationships. Inspires trust within/outside of the organization.
Develops high levels of credibility and accountability.
Stays open to internal and external feedback.
Agrees with the mission, vision and core values of World Vision.

Language Requirements:
Excellent written and fluent in speaking Arabic.
Ability to write very good quality reports in English is required.
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement:
The position requires 100% of the time to be field-based.
Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster.
The position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular.
