ROLE PURPOSE The Child Participation and Partnership Officer is responsible in the smooth planning, coordination and implementation of plans and activities in the project areas. S/he will be the primary responsible focal person in organizing CHAT Groups that ensure children's participation in the project implementation process and mobilizing partner stakeholders' and institutions in the project areas. S/he will be the on-site representative of Save the Children Philippines (SCP) especially in courtesy meetings, consultations and other meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE * At least 2 years' experience in working relating to Education or an equivalent level of experience * Experience in partnership with and providing support to the government agencies, civil society groups-NGOs, community-based organizations or people's organizations * Experience in project management cycle * Ability to adapt new ideas and innovation; capacity to think strategically * Preferably with a degree in Education, Community Development, Social Sciences or equivalent experience * Familiarity and experience with the concepts of human rights, empowering civil society, local governance, children's rights and child protection * Can deal with various levels of stakeholders-from decision-makers to field level practitioners * Has proven skills in program management, training design and delivery, and facilitation * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Computer literate and adept in the use of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) * Can work well in highly stressful situations, prioritizes deliverables and meet reasonable deadlines * Understands and believes in Save the Children's mission and vision; commits to its objectives and willing to adopt Save the Children's methodology and framework * Willing to travel to any part of the country and be deployed in both humanitarian response and development programming
