Country Representative Ukraine (f/m/d)
temporary contract for 1 year
Aufgabengebiet
Management of Joint Delegation’s programme portfolio and personnel, including staff security
Manage partnership with the URCS management and support their organisational development in line with the URCS’s strategy
Identification, planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of programmes/projects according to URCS’s strategy, established standards and donor requirements
Ensure transparency and efficiency of programmes supported via the Joint Delegation
Provide support to URCS in line with operational plans and project agreements
Ensure timely availability and submission of critical information, data and reports to the Delegation partners
Facilitate agreed regular internal communication and reporting channels for the Joint Delegation
Monitoring and analysis of developments in-country with timely information sharing
Risk anticipation, identification, mitigation, and escalation when necessary
Financial supervision ensuring accuracy, transparency, and corrective actions
Support to local branch and volunteer development to foster stronger, sustainable local capacities
Represent the Joint Delegation towards Movement partners via active networking and collaboration to align efforts, harmonize processes and explore synergies
Contribute to influencing policy decisions and to promote humanitarian diplomacy of common interest within the Movement
Representation of the Joint Delegation towards external stakeholders in-country
Contribution to media and communications work as required
Profil
EU work permit preferred
Minimum of 5 years of operational management experience in international humanitarian and/or development programming (NGO, IO, or charity); experience within the Red Cross / Red Crescent Movement is a strong asset
University degree or diploma in international development, business management, or another relevant field.
Proven experience in humanitarian assistance and strong coordination, communication, organizational, and planning skills
Knowledge and experience of the concerned geographical region
Experience of leading teams and supporting employee wellbeing and development
Solid understanding of donor reporting, accountability standards, and compliance requirements.
Ability to work under pressure and in complex security environments.
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
Excellent English skills (spoken and written); knowledge, Ukrainian and/or Russian would be an asset.
High motivation for humanitarian and development work with strong sensitivity to cultural diversity and inclusion.
