Description

PCPM - Polish Center for International Aid is one of the leading Polish INGOs, operating in Ukraine, Lebanon, Syria, oPt, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Kenya, funded by the Polish Government, DG ECHO, OCHA pooled funds, WFP and other institutional donors.

PCPM has three pillars of operations: 1) emergency preparedness and response, including through the WHO-classified Emergency Medical Team.

2) humanitarian aid, including assistance in refugee crises

3) long-term development programs, including refugee-centered and social programs in Poland.

As part of its new programmatic approach, PCPM aspires now, funding permitting, to open humanitarian and/or development operations in new geographic and sectoral areas.

Responsibilities:

Participate in development of and take lead in implementation of strategy of expanding PCPM's international program presence.
Set up or expand PCPM program presence abroad in selected countries, including identification of programs and local partners, establishing and registering local presence as appropriate, implementing initial program activities.
Supervising PCPM project teams and staff in designated countries of PCPM program presence, particularly Ukraine, Lebanon, Syria, Kenya and Ethiopia.
Apply for institutional and other funding to set up or expand PCPM program presence abroad in selected counties, which includes developing project proposals, including DG ECHO, BHA and others and building strategic relationships with regional and national actors to form consortia and secure joint funding.
Undertake frequent travels and field missions to the countries of current and prospective PCPM program presence abroad of Poland.
Contribute video and other materials to PCPM fundraising activities./Promote PCPM's visibility and institutional presence by representing the organization at national and international events, as well as capturing and delivering compelling field materials to support public outreach and fundraising.
Actively participate in media interviews and other related activities.
Goals (KPIs):

First-year objectives: Establish a strategic partnership with at least one major institutional actor (such as an INGO, UN agency, or bilateral donor) and successfully launch operations or projects in at least one new target country.
Three-year objectives: Build long-term, multi-year strategic partnerships with at least two key institutional donors/partners and expand PCPM’s operational presence into at least two new geographic locations.
Requirements:

Proven experience in humanitarian crises and implementation of donor-funded humanitarian / development aid at the medium management level or above,
Familiarity with and proven experience in securing institutional donor financing, including EU institutions, UN Agencies, BHA and other donors as appropriate.
Flexibility to undertake field missions with a short advance notice.
Fluency in English and knowledge of at least one more language relevant to the current or prospective countries of PCPM program presence.
Fluency in Polish would be a major advantage.
Citizenship of a EU Member states or another country with privileged access to the EU / Poland labor market.
Working arrangements

Preferred: part-time work from Warsaw with part-time travels or field missions. Alternative working arrangements possible, but preference given to office work.
