BACKGROUND

IsraAID is a non-profit, non-governmental and apolitical humanitarian aid agency dedicated to supporting populations in crisis around the world. Founded in 2001, as of 2026, the organization has responded to crises in 68 countries and has ongoing operations in 10 countries, spanning a wide range of different sectors of expertise from both the humanitarian aid and international development arenas.

The Finance & Admin Officer
directly oversees all financial, accounting, logistic and administrative operations in the emergency mission. The position liaisons between Headquarters (HQ) and the country mission, as well as external stakeholders. The incumbent might will also represent the mission in various coordination forums.

Financial and Accounting

In charge of expenses forecasting and control
Regular and ad hoc financial reporting and analyses to the country mission, HQ and donors
Ensure internal and external compliance.
Work closely with Head of Mission, operations and logistics staff on financial program management.
In charge of bookkeeping, cash management, payroll, payments and bank management
In charge of successful internal and external auditing
Administration

Manage office administration and be the focal point for all operational needs.
Provide guidance to personnel on policies and procedures.
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the mission, including ordering supplies
Leading team related logistics arrangement, including but not limited to flight bookings, local transportation, accommodation, communications and more.
Documenting procurement process.
Serve as the IT focal point, ensuring that all technology systems are operational

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND COMPETENCIES

Required - Intermediate or higher working level of Excel.
Preferred - University degree in Finance Management or another related field.
Preferred -1-2 years Experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in the non-profit sector.
Preferred - Experience working internationally.
Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team.
Able to work independently and with a team.
Highly flexible and a self-starter
Self-learner: able to multi-task while also being highly detail oriented.
Resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new efficiencies, and guiding investment in people and systems.
Fluency in Spanish & English; additional languages are an asset.
