Description

Under the supervision of the Administrative and Financial Manager at the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty, the Finance and Administration Officer is responsible for the operational management of the Coalition's accounting, financial, and administrative aspects. He/she plays a key role in monitoring partnerships and supporting field missions.

1. Operational Accounting and Financial Management: (40%)

Perform accounting entries in general and cost accounting.
Process invoice payments and monitor banking transactions.
Perform bank reconciliations and manage day-to-day cash flow (cash, accounts).
Participate in updating financial dashboards.
Prepare data and supporting documents for financial reports and audits.
2. Monitoring Partnerships and Financing: (25%)

Provide administrative and accounting follow-up on partnership agreements.
Collect, analyze, and archive financial reports and supporting documents from partners.
Follow up with partners to ensure that documents are sent within the specified deadlines.
Check that partners' expenses comply with donor rules.
Support partners in complying with financial procedures.
3. Logistical and administrative support: (20%)

Organize the financial and administrative logistics of missions (reservations, per diems, formalities).
Occasionally participate in field monitoring missions.
Monitor and collect payroll variables.
4. Cross-functional tasks: (15%)

Manage the collection and follow-up of contributions and donations.
Perform day-to-day administrative tasks (filing, mail, archiving).
Perform any other tasks required for the department to function, as requested by management.
DESIRED PROFILE

Education: Two to three years (college diploma or bachelor’s degree) of higher education in accounting, management, administration, or finance.
Experience: Initial experience (internship or work-study program) in a similar environment (NGO, firm, association) is a plus.
Technical skills: Proficiency in Office (advanced Excel) and accounting software. Knowledge of public donor rules is an asset.
Personal qualities: Extreme rigor, organizational skills, autonomy, team spirit, excellent interpersonal skills, and adaptability in a multicultural context. Sense of confidentiality.
