The project:

The initiative, acting on three levels - family, community and school - aims to improve the quality of educational services and promote access for children with disabilities and special educational needs in a perspective of equity and inclusiveness by focusing on the provision of services aimed at removing barriers related to primary needs and structural protection risks, socio-cultural barriers, structural barriers in schools and community-based organizations (CBOs) and lack of professional skills of teachers and community workers that prevent full access to education for children with disabilities.

Overall aim of the Action: Contribute to increase the school inclusion of boys and girls with disabilities and/or specific needs in the communities of intervention, regardless of their nationality or status.
Specific objective: Increase the capacity of communities, families and schools to create an inclusive and equitable environment for children with disabilities and special educational needs in Amman, Mafraq and Irbid governorates.
Results:
R.1 Increased capacity to provide for essential needs for families - with minors with disabilities and/or special educational needs functional to school access.

R.2 Strengthened a community support system that promotes the rights and inclusion of children with disabilities and/or special educational needs and their families in the social structure, including school.

R.3 Strengthen the capacities of target schools to include students with disabilities or special educational needs in mainstream education.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Focal Point data collection to support the implementation of an inclusive education project aimed at improving accessibility for students with disabilities.

The expert will play a key role in coordinating field activities, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the effective distribution of assistive technologies and materials in schools.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Support field activities, accomplish the data collection and monitor the project implementation in schools and CBOs.
Distribute assistive technologies, tools, and materials to enhance accessibility in education.
Maintain strong relationships with schools, principals, local authorities, ministries, and CBOs.
Organize meetings, workshops, events, and field visits to ensure smooth project execution.
Liaise with suppliers and manage the procurement and distribution of technological equipment, furniture, and learning materials.
Monitor and report on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
Ensure compliance with project goals, results, activities, timelines, and donor requirements.
Conduct needs assessments and stakeholder consultations.
Apply Results-Based Management (RBM) and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) frameworks.
Track progress and adjust strategies as needed.
Identify risks (political, logistical, financial) and develop mitigation strategies.
Document lessons learned and best practices for knowledge sharing.
Ensure transparency and accountability in project execution.
Strengthen local institutions and community ownership for long-term impact.
Organize training sessions for beneficiaries and local partners.
Develop exit strategies to ensure project continuity post-funding.
Collaborate in the mid-term and final evaluations (often with external consultants).
Contribute to sector-wide learning through case studies and policy recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, Project Management, or a related field.
At least 5 years of proven experience in project monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and field coordination.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work with diverse groups, including government officials, school administrations, and NGOs.
Experience in procurement and logistics management is an advantage.
Knowledge of inclusive education and assistive technologies is desirable.
Proficiency in English.
Knowledge of Italian language is an advantage.
