Still I Rise, an international NGO, works towards development and the realisation of humanitarian projects aiming at providing education and support to refugee children and youth, is looking for a Fundraising Director. The selected candidate will provide strategic leadership focusing on engagement within the fundraising framework, and direction and management of the fundraising team, in order to develop income streams originated both by individuals, corporates, institutions, private and public events.
Key responsibilities
Identifying long and short-term strategies, defining the budget and objectives for the various stakeholders, targets, as well as the channels of fundraising, monitoring progress, variables and deviations
Being part of SIR’s leadership team and ensuring that vision, mission, and values of the Organisation are supported and communicated through an integrated and shared approach
Developing and implementing appropriate fundraising and communication strategies in collaboration with the relevant management to support SIR’s strategic goals
Providing guidance and necessary tools to engage stakeholders, within the framework of communication, public relations and marketing in accordance with SIR’s activities and projects
Representing SIR in all external contacts and interactions, whilst internally facilitating a shared culture that supports and promotes SIR’s values and mandate
Expanding the database of big-donors, big-companies, and institutions, also through personal relationship and communication skills
Supervising fundraising campaigns across SIR’s departments and programs
Ensuring the monitoring of activities and defining appropriate and precise KPIs for every fundraising channel
Identify projects, methodologies, and innovative fundraising techniques, both online and offline
Guiding and motivating complex working-teams with dynamism and proactiveness
Essential Skills & Requirements
University degree or master's degree in line with the position
Experience gained mainly in the fundraising area, preferably in the non-profit sector.
Experience in business development, strategic and operational marketing is also considered relevant.
Full ownership of the organisation's mission
Strategic vision and ability to transform strategies into action plans
Problem solving and negotiation skills
Knowledge of Italian is considered an additional asset
