Description

Construction and infrastructure projects in Dubai require a hands-on General Foreman to coordinate site manpower, organize daily work activities, and keep multiple construction tasks progressing safely and according to project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day construction activities across assigned work areas.
Allocate workers, tools, and materials according to the daily work plan.
Supervise foremen, skilled workers, helpers, and subcontractor teams.
Review work instructions, drawings, and site requirements before activities begin.
Monitor progress and ensure assigned work is completed within planned schedules.
Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and project management.
Check workmanship and ensure construction activities meet required quality standards.
Arrange manpower according to changing site priorities and workload.
Monitor the availability and proper use of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Identify site obstacles, delays, or resource shortages and report them promptly.
Ensure workers follow approved safety procedures, PPE requirements, and site rules.
Conduct or participate in daily briefings and toolbox meetings.
Monitor housekeeping and maintain safe and organized work areas.
Assist engineers and supervisors during inspections, measurements, and work verification.
Maintain basic daily records of manpower, activities, materials, and progress.
Support corrective work and ensure identified defects are addressed properly.
Coordinate work sequences between different trades to avoid unnecessary delays.

Requirements

Previous experience as a General Foreman, Construction Foreman, Site Foreman, or similar position is preferred.
Diploma, ITI, or technical qualification in construction or a relevant trade is an advantage.
Experienced and suitably qualified candidates with strong site knowledge are welcome to apply.
Good understanding of construction methods and site operations.
Ability to read and follow basic construction drawings and work instructions.
Strong manpower coordination and leadership skills.
Good knowledge of construction safety practices and PPE requirements.
Ability to monitor quality, productivity, and work progress.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Physically fit and comfortable working in an active construction environment.
Able to manage multiple work activities and meet project deadlines.
Willingness to work extended hours when project requirements demand.
UAE/GCC construction experience is an advantage.
