Coordinate servers, hosts/hostesses, and bussers
Ensure guest satisfaction: greet guests, take orders when appropriate, and handle complaints
Manage service flow: pacing, table assignments, reservations, and seating strategy
Training and supervision: onboarding new staff, ongoing coaching, performance feedback
Quality control: checking mise-en-place (glassware, silverware, napkins), maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
administrative duties: shift scheduling, inventory
