About MiCT:
MiCT is a non-profit organization specializing in media development, journalism training, and promoting media freedom in conflict-affected regions. With a strong commitment to fostering independent media voices, MiCT aims to empower journalists and media professionals with the tools and support they need to create impactful stories and contribute to democratic discourse.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
Support day-to-day operations and monitoring of activities in target regions.
Work with supported media outlets and journalists to understand needs, answer questions, prepare contracts, and collect results.
Facilitate the work of regional investigative collectives comprising local journalists and media creators.
Partnership and Network Building:
Establish and maintain partnerships with local journalists, media outlets, civil society actors and relevant stakeholders in target regions.
Act as the main point of contact between regional participants and MiCT
Event Organization:
Coordinate regional public presentations and community events (logistics, invitations, venue arrangements)
Support the final workshop in Chișinău, liaising with national media mentors, policymakers, and civil society representatives.
Administrative Tasks:
Support the Berlin project team with administrative tasks.
Coordinate all project-related contracts and procurement with MiCT’s finance team; ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in project or program coordination/management, preferably in the media development or human rights sector.
Deep understanding of the Moldovan media landscape, particularly in politically contested regions.
Strong networking and partnership-building skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in Romanian and advanced English required; Russian is an asset.
Commitment to media freedom, human rights, and inclusive public dialogue.
Willingness to travel within Moldova and to be based in Moldova.
