Description

The purpose of this role,

 

To support VSO ICFP Conference Coordinator with local Thai local language and business knowledge in ensuring effective procurement primarily for hotels and print supplies for ICFP Conference in Pattaya.

 

Objectives of the assignment:

 

Identify, negotiate and develop agreed hotel accommodation for approximately 25 VSO attendees at International Conference of Family Planning in Pattaya.

Identify, negotiate and develop print supplier agreement for a number of deliverables in support of the ICFP conference in Pattaya

Working with the VSO ICFP Conference Coordinator, finalize the evaluation questions for the interviews and support the ICFP Conference Coordinator necessary

Conduct ZOOM/ Teams interviews with the support of ICFP Conference Coordinator

Timelines and key dates:

 

8 days in total during August, September, October and November until ICFP conference ends 17th November.

The peak workload is estimated to be from 2nd week of August (hotel agreement in place) and in September (print supplier agreement)

Skills, qualifications and experience required

 

The successful individual should have the following experience and competencies:

 

Office administration, procurement and negotiation skills

Experience working within the tourist industry and in event/conference management is a plus

Excellent interpersonal and relational skills

Working knowledge of ZOOM and/or Teams for interviews is essential

Having previously engaged with VSO previously is an advantage but not essential

Proficiency in English language.
