International Women's Initiative (IWI) is an organisation which raises awareness of the threats to the human rights of women across the globe and to promote and assist in the achievement of gender equality. As an organisation which is run 100% by volunteers, we are looking for staff who can help grow WI while ensuring we remain true to our mission and goals. PERFORMED REMOTELY

JOB DESCRIPTION
Their primary responsibility is to network and attract large donors to support IWI's mission.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• A minimum of five (5) years of fundraising or related development experience are required;
• Must have demonstrated success in achieving fundraising goals and managing high-level donor relationships;
• Demonstrated ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment;
• Demonstrated excellence ni a variety of competencies including: project management, teamwork, analytical thinking, and stakeholder awareness;
• Must possess the ability work with changing priorities and multiple projects;
• Excellent analytical, organisational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including a high level of attention to detail and active listening skills;
• Must be able to problem-solve and troubleshoot, in addition to the ability to work independently in a dynamic team environment:
• Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with a diverse group of administrators and leaders;
• Prior experience in a not for profit, or similarly complex organisations preferred;
• Identify and track new prospects through referrals, research, and outreach;
• Carry a donor portfolio of donors with the potential of making a major gift;
• Assist with the oversight of the planned giving program, including solicitation of long-time donors for planned and estate gifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:
• Write grant and funding proposals;
• Identity and track new prospects through referrals, research, and outreach;
• Carry a donor portfolio of donors with the potential of making a major gift;
• Assist with the oversight of the planned giving program, including solicitation of long-time donors for planned and estate gifts;
• Conducts a minimum amount of personal visits annually to cultivate and solicit prospects and close gifts;
• Completes a minimum of 10 major gifts asks, 20 leadership annual fund asks and 10 planned giving conversations on an annual basis (negotiable);
• Manage prospect relationships to enhance continued and increased support, as well as attend events which facilitate contact with prospects;
• Work in a highly collaborative environment as members of the Resource Mobilisation team have opportunities to engage with IWI staff, participate in and manage projects;
