Helen Keller International Cameroon is calling for applications for the recruitment of a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer based in Yaoundé.
He/She will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data, regularly monitoring activities, conducting evaluations and writing reports to be sent to VAS project colleagues, SDAN, other partners, NGOs, donors, etc.
The Monitoring/Evaluation Officer will assist in the implementation of monitoring and evaluation of VAS project activities, documentation of project successes, lessons learned and best/good practices and dissemination results.
Description of main responsibilities
Placed under the supervision of the VAS Project Manager, the M&E Officer will be responsible for:
Assist the VAS Project Manager in:
Steering of all technical, administrative and financial activities to ensure effective operational implementation of the project;
The mobilization and strengthening of the partnership with the technical teams of the Food and Nutrition Sub-Directorate (SDAN) and the Central Technical Group PEV (GTC PEV) of the Ministry of Health;
The development of an effective partnership with the MINSANTE teams at the national and operational level as well as all the stakeholders to develop, support and monitor technical and programmatic activities, and ensure good coordination of project activities
Animate the monitoring and evaluation system
Ensure compliance with the planned schedule and prepare work plans and budgets and reports in advance to obtain the necessary approvals;
Collect all data required to monitor the implementation of planned activities and program performance (training, supervision, etc.)
Initiate and facilitate the holding of regular technical meetings with the SDAN) and the GTC PEV and the VAS Project Associates in order to monitor the proper implementation of the project and identify the measures which make it possible to avoid bottlenecks and improve the quality of services;
Ensure the preparation and conduct of post-campaign coverage surveys at least once a year to measure coverage of vitamin A supplementation programs to provide primary data and for ongoing evaluation;
Coordinate with program coordinators and supervisors on planned activities to ensure adherence to prescribed methodologies for sampling, data collection and data entry; Perform a regular analysis of the various data relating to project activities
Provide feedback to program management reports for improvement.
Hold a diploma in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, nutrition, public health, epidemiology, health economics/management, community health, medical sociology, project management, be a health communication professional (Communication for development) or any other equivalent diploma;
Have at least three (03) years of proven professional experience in public health and/or vaccination, nutrition, awareness
