About the Internship Position
Trust offers internship positions as JOs in the Media & Communications department. The internship provides practical experience supporting the organization's communications, digital presence, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
6 months, remote, full-time (40 hours/week)
Unpaid internship
Exposure to communications, branding, digital marketing, content creation, and media production
If travel is required, Trust will cover related logistics expenses
By the end of the internship, the intern is expected to be able to:
Produce engaging written and visual content for different communication channels.
Create social media content aligned with organizational branding and communication objectives.
Design simple graphics, presentations, and promotional materials using appropriate design tools.
Support the planning and promotion of webinars, events, and campaigns.
Apply basic communication, branding, and digital marketing principles in a humanitarian and development context.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Develop content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
Design visual materials, including graphics, infographics, presentations, and promotional content
Assist with editing videos and other multimedia content
Draft newsletters, website articles, and communication materials
Support the organization and promotion of webinars, trainings, and events
Help maintain and update Trust's website and digital communication channels
Monitor social media engagement and prepare basic analytics reports
Ensure all communication materials follow Trust's branding guidelines
Support documentation of organizational activities, projects, and success stories
Conduct research on communication trends and best practices
Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Candidate profile & qualifications
University Degree in Development, Public Health, Social Sciences or other relevant subjects required, MA preferred
At least one year of professional experience in a related field within humanitarian/development and research
Fluent/native English speaker
Strong, demonstrable understanding of research and research methods, both qualitative and quantitative
Good analytical skills
Very strong Office package skills, including Excel skills
Strong writing and editing skills
Demonstrate a profound understanding of development/ humanitarian sector
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and able to work in a multi-cultural work environment
Able to work independently under remote supervision
Preferred Skills:
Experience managing social media accounts
Knowledge of branding and digital marketing principles
Experience with website content management (e.g., WordPress)
Photography or videography skills
Familiarity with analytics tools (LinkedIn Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, etc.)
Knowledge of Arabic, Kurdish, or Turkish is an advantage
