Damnok Toek is a local NGO working in Cambodia since 1997 with the aim of supporting vulnerable children such as street children, children with disabilities, and children victims of trafficking/unsafe migration. Working in Poipet, Neak Loueng and Kep, Damnok Toek currently employs over 120 Cambodian staff and provides tailored services to around 5,000 beneficiaries per year.
Location: Cambodia - Based in Phnom Penh with regular trips to Poipet (North of Cambodia – Thai-Cambodian border), Kep (South of Cambodia) and Neak Loeung (Southeast of Cambodia).

Operations Director (OD) works in tandem with the Executive Director to lead the organization and the teams at the HQ and on the field.
The OD is responsible for day-to-day operations, managing the organization’s program and budget in collaboration with the Executive Director, the projects teams and finance staff;
This OD's primary responsibility is to ensure organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for Damnok Toek's finance and program teams.
Supervising the management teams at HQ and regularly on the field, the OD also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices. The OD is, along with the Executive Director, the main contact point for DT’s Board of Directors, and works with them when required.
Implementing new projects, overseeing the development and execution of project deliverables, leading project design, planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes in collaboration with the project coordinators;
Overseeing all project activities and being the main contact point for the project coordinators in Neak Loeung, Poipet and Kep;
Leading and motivating the project teams and overseeing the professional development of staff within the organisation;
Ensuring close collaboration and coordination with organisational partners and government authorities.
Fundraising and Financial Management
Overseeing and supporting the process of drafting concept notes, project ideas, project proposals and reports and ensuring their timely submission by the Fundraising Technical Advisor;
Maintaining relationships with existing donors and responding to their requests in a timely manner;
Identifying grant opportunities and prospective donors;
Preparing and analyzing budgets and developing financial reports;
Overseeing the financial operations of the organization and support the finance officers and accountants.
Organizational Effectiveness and Leadership
Driving organizational and management initiatives in the team that contribute to long-term operational quality;
Leading monitoring and evaluation processes for all programs in Neak Loeung, Poipet and Kep, including analysis of data collected in the projects to ensure quality results;
Contributing to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team;
Overseeing the implementation of all organisational policies, including Child Protection Policy, Human Resources Policy, etc.
Motivation to work for a grassroots organisation;
At least five years’ experience managing programs, projects and finances in the international development field;
Fluent spoken and written Khmer
Fluent spoken and written English
Work experience in Cambodia
Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff and major projects or initiatives in a supportive and culturally appropriate manner;
Ability to build consensus and relationships among collaborators, partners, donors and employees;
Excellent communication skills;
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
Strong experience and interest in Child Protection issues and projects supporting vulnerable children and their families
Ability and willingness to travel often to provinces (regular travel is required);
Flexibility and a good sense of humour.
