Status: Part Time
Compensation: €700-750 net (based on experience)
Contract Terms & Salary compensations will vary and be defined on the basis of local employment rates in accordance with the position grade and experience.
Job Description
Still I Rise, an international non-profit organization that works on the development and implementation of humanitarian projects aimed at the education and support of refugee children and teenagers, is looking for a Press Officer to join its current staff. The selected person will be focused both on the development of a press strategy in German-speaking countries, and supporting press activities in Italy.
They will be responsible for press and comms in German related to the organization’s activities, the will be tasked with creating a press list, and public relations with German-speaking journalists. The Press Officer will work under the supervision of the Press Office & PR Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Management of press and media relations in German-speaking countries
Writing press releases, creating press kits and managing campaigns under the coordination of the Press Office & PR Manager
Management of local press office volunteers activities in Italy
Research of new targeted contacts and updating of press lists
Public relations with journalists, media partners and influencers
Support in updating the press review
Support the daily activities of the Press Office & PR Manager
Essential Skill and Requirements
Master's degree or humanities degree (journalism, communication, literature, public relations)
Previous experience in the role: minimum 2 years
Language skills: excellent knowledge of German, Italian and English, written and spoken.
Excellent writing and communication skills
Strong public relations skills
Proactivity
Desirable criteria
Registration in Italian journalists’ order or proven experience in Journalism
Previous experience in other press offices dedicated to the third sector is considered an asset
