Created in 1993, ACTED is an international non-governmental organization. It pursues a dual mandate of emergency and development responses and operates in 40 countries deeply affected by conflicts, natural disasters and/or socio-economic vulnerabilities. 7,000 national staff and 400 international staff collaborate and allow ACTED to implement 500 projects per year with activities reaching more than 20 million beneficiaries in hard-to-reach areas.

 

ACTED intervenes in the last mile of humanitarian action by adopting an approach that goes beyond the immediate response, in order to develop opportunities for sustainable development. ACTED France (HQ)

Composed of 120 employees, ACTED's headquarters are located in Paris and support the organization's interventions worldwide.

 

Main role and responsibilities

Investigate the needs of ACTED employees to specify future business IS modules

 

– Be the privileged interlocutor of the various ACTED professions on their digital project issues;

 

– Discuss with users at headquarters and in the field to fully understand the needs and formulate appropriate solutions;

 

– Define priority functionalities to ensure regular and iterative deployments;

 

– Communicate with developers to ensure specifications are consistent and aligned with existing modules;

 

Define acceptance tests to validate developments

 

– In collaboration with users, define test specifications in written form, to optimize the development cycle;

 

– Participate in the testing of modules and support users in their tests;

 

– Assist in the definition of high impact functional tests;

 

Assist in the smooth running of the development cycle

 

– Promote the Agile culture within the IMS department and more broadly within ACTED;

 

– Propose improvements on best practices for Agile methodology elements; the daily, storyboard, retrospective…;

 

Manage business IS applications

 

– Ensure the role of application manager for the business IS in the portfolio;

 

– Evaluate and improve the performance of business IS;

 

– Make the business IS consistent with the orientations, operating methods and processes defined at the business level;

 

– Ensure and coordinate development activities and corrective and application maintenance of systems;

 

– Provide level 2 support and advice to the business lines;

 

– Be the guarantor of maintaining the functional and technical knowledge necessary for the sustainability of the applications;

 

Integrate and configure business IS applications

 

– Contribute to the choice of the various IS components (software, databases, specific developments, etc.);

 

– Ensure the implementation of applications in compliance with the overall architecture plan and according to the IS master plan;

 

– Ensure the consistency of inter-application flows;

 

– Analyze and advise businesses on the best possible use of software;

 

– Realize the prototypes and the configuration of the applications to respond to the desired developments;

 

Support headquarters and field teams in the use of new tools integrated into the information system

 

– Manage communication with the departments concerned, the IMS head office and field team;

 

– Organize training in the form of webinars (or on the move);

 

– Write documentation, guides, tutorials;

 

– Contribute to building a knowledge base;

 

Qualifications and skills required

You have a BAC+3 or equivalent training;

You have experience in a Product Owner role of at least 2 years;

Drafting and completion of technical documents: specifications, proposals;

Ability to orchestrate projects on technical aspects;

Relational and communication skills: ability to ensure fluid communication between the different teams;

Rigorous, autonomous and organized, solution-oriented;

Fluent English & French required.
