The main responsibility of the Programme Manager is to actively facilitate the development, strengthening, and impact of national survivor networks. The Programme Manager ensures alignment with holistic care programming at the local level and remains in close coordination and alignment with SEMA, the Global Network of Survivors. The Programme Manager reports to the Programme Director.


The Programme Manager has the following responsibilities and tasks:

In alignment with the overall strategy and holistic care programming, identify opportunities, develop, and support the implementation of national strategies for the national networks. This includes:

Developing new survivor networks, in close collaboration with survivors: this includes scoping visits, organizing consultations with survivors and relevant stakeholders, identifying and conducting due-diligence assessment of (new) national partners, develop network-building strategies.
Strengthening, coordinating and monitoring existing survivor networks: organizing capacity-building trainings on a variety of topics, designing & delivering trainings on network-strengthening strategies, and supporting the implementation of survivor-led initiatives including healing/collective memory programmes.
Assisting national networks with developing advocacy and awareness-raising messages and strategies.
Ensuring close collaboration between national survivor networks and SEMA, the Global Survivor Network.
Ensuring availability of psychosocial support throughout network-building programmes by engaging with national and local psychosocial service providers
In close collaboration with the MF fundraising team, identify and develop funding opportunities for national survivor networks on an on-going basis, designing projects, writing project proposals and developing budgets.
Sharing lessons learned between national networks (assist in developing peer-to-peer support mechanisms).
Administrative tasks for this position include:

Responsibility for budget development, management and reporting of budgets to donors in country support portfolio.
Writing timely reports (within approx. 2 weeks) of scoping visits/trips with main findings, contacts made, and recommendations.
Ensuring that administration tasks related to one’s own work are completed on time, including donor reports.
Developing strategic partnerships and maintaining a shared database of contacts.
Managing relationships with implementing partners and supervising the implementation of activities.
Periodic reporting and monitoring and evaluation of own work.
