Description

What We're Looking For

The Rainbow TB Forum (RTBF) and Paneer Poo HIV Women’s Network are seeking a motivated Project Coordinator to support the growth of both networks during their start-up and scale-building phase. While rooted in long-standing community work, both initiatives require hands-on support to build core systems and sustainable funding pathways.

The role will focus on setting up and managing a website (for Paneer Poo) and social media, exploring crowdfunding opportunities, and identifying and engaging CSR partners for potential funding. The Project Coordinator will also support proposal development, coordination of ongoing activities, and general operational tasks across both networks.

We are looking for someone with an understanding of the project cycle and fundraising, who is flexible, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple responsibilities. Prior experience in public health, women’s empowerment, TB, or HIV is an asset but not required.

The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Director, Mercy Annapoorani, and the wider team, while being able to work independently. This role is ideal for someone interested in helping build and strengthen community-led networks from the ground up.

Duration

The successful candidate will be primarily based in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. Our team works on a full-time basis from 10:00 pm - 6:00 pm Monday to Saturday, both days included. Your work schedule is flexible depending on you and your time management skills. We ask for a minimum commitment of 4 months. Longer stays are welcome - please state your preference in the cover letter.

Responsibilities

As a Project Coordinator, you will support the growth and strengthening of the Rainbow TB Forum (RTBF) and Paneer Poo HIV Women’s Network, contributing to both programmatic and operational needs. Key responsibilities include:

Grants & Documentation: Support the development of concept notes, funding proposals, donor updates, and basic project documentation.
Research & Fundraising: Identify funding opportunities, including CSR and crowdfunding, and conduct light research to inform proposals.
Planning & Coordination: Track proposal deadlines, maintain simple work plans and calendars, and support coordination of ongoing activities.
Monitoring & Reporting: Assist with basic monitoring, documentation of activities, and preparation of reports for donors and stakeholders.
Communications & Outreach: Support social media, online visibility, and CSR-related outreach in coordination with the team.
General Support: Provide flexible administrative and coordination support within a small, evolving organization.
Qualifications and Skills

Required

Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a relevant Master’s degree (e.g. Public Health, Development Studies, International Relations, Sustainable Development, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or related fields).
Basic understanding of the project cycle, including proposal development and reporting.
Experience supporting grant writing or project proposals.
Strong writing, research, organizational, and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small, evolving team.
Comfortable working in community-based and culturally diverse settings; patient and adaptable.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Desired

Female candidates are preferred.
Experience supporting grant-funded projects, including basic financial tracking or reporting.
Demonstrated interest in public health, women’s rights, and community development, particularly in low-resource or Global South contexts.

Please send a CV along with a Cover Letter explaining your interest in the position, your relevant experience, and your intended period of stay.
