Context of the Role:

We are hiring for an entry level Project Officer positions to join the team. You will become part of a small, high performing team, located across Tunisia, Jordan and the UK with positions in East and West Africa currently being recruited for as we expand our business. Our country focus is currently in Tunisia and Jordan, with other programmes in the wider MENA region. While we have a specific set of focus countries, our mission and our communications have a global audience, as we seek to change the policy and practice of how emerging states are supported.

 

You will become part of a company which provides the conditions for its personnel to thrive and perform; for this role, we are looking for someone that wants to develop quickly, picking up the key tools needed to provide the foundation for a high performing consultancy role anywhere in the world as you grow into your career.

 

In this role, you will support the delivery of our projects and provide administrative and basic research support across our business and portfolio.

 

Profile:

 

You need to be an enthusiastic, motivated, highly organised individual with great attention to detail, preferably with some experience in administrative support in a business setting. You need to be able to learn fast, building your experience and capability quickly to support the team across a range of areas and build your ability to offer more and more support to the business and our work. If you have some experience of project management, fantastic, but you might also be someone with little experience and great learning ability.

 

This role will suit a first career move for a an ambitious graduate with a passion for development, inclusivity and impact, ideally. We will work with you to develop your administrative, business development and research skills to enable you to deliver your work to the best of your ability. You should want to learn and evolve your professional skills and knowledge coupled with an appetite to become an excellent researcher. You will work with us as we grow and develop in the future, adapting to meet both the needs of the company and your own as we grow together.

 

A good candidate will be proficient in English, Arabic and French, have professional experience or education in sectors such as development and investment and is comfortable using G-Suite.

 

Role:

 

This will be a remote role, meeting weekly with other Tunisia-based colleagues.

 

Project Support

 

The delivery of our projects requires attention to detail, due diligence and the production of documents that need to be organised efficiently. You will:

support the team to arrange meetings, take notes and coordinate the management of relationships;

occasionally provide technical input and research, ensuring that every product is excellently presented and formatted.

Usually, our projects are not logistics-heavy, however we have a routine need for logistics support. You will plan and deliver logistics support across our projects, making sure we get the best value-for-money and deliver in accordance with international management best-practice.

Research

 

You will support our research-based requirements for existing and future projects, eventually being able to bill to our clients.

You will be asked to complete internal research projects in areas related to economic markets, inclusive growth, country and private sector profiles.

Business Development

 

You will support our ability to win new business by supporting the drafting of proposals, identifying business opportunities, completing and formatting CVs, undertaking due diligence and presenting our company track record with clarity and relevance.

Administration

 

You will provide administrative support to country offices as required, including invoice and contract management.

You will be responsible for formatting documents and proofreading products both in English and in French.
