ICVA MENA Co-Led Initiative with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Yemen
This initiative supports strengthening Local CSO Capacity, learning, and leadership in Yemen. The purpose of the initiative is to address Yemeni local and national actors and local NGO fora’s capacity gaps as per Measuring Humanitarian Localisation in Yemen , and to strengthen the capacity of local and national actors and local NGO fora to deliver principled and effective humanitarian action in Yemen through the development and implementation of a tailored capacity-sharing program.

2. CONSULTANCY RESPONSABILITIES
This Consultancy: Project Support (Iraq & Yemen) will fulfil the following duties:

2.1 - Projects Planning and Implementation

Support the implementation of project work plans, timelines, and activity schedules in line with project objectives, and make updates as necessary based on the needs and the feedback from the key stakeholders
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely execution of planned activities.
Organize 2 back-to-back training workshops in Aden, Yemen (including selection of participants, following up with lead trainer on program design, and completing all logistics (venue, per diems, logistics for ICVA staff and participants, etc.)
Organize 1 training workshop for the steering committee members of the Locally led Network in Erbil/Iraq, and collaborate with the lead trainer, and in parallel to organize one training workshop for local NGOs in Erbil/Iraq on the networking, negotiation, and influence, and support the lead trainer on this training. This will include: selection of participants, supporting program design, completing all logistics (venue, per diems, logistics for ICVA staff and participants, etc.)
Organise NGO networks exchange among NGO networks from Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan. The workshop takes place in Amman.
Support ICVA Regional Representative in MENA in implementing all activities mentioned in the two projects workplans related to the documentations and support the local networks in both countries
2.2 - Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination

Facilitate regular communication with partners, donors, and relevant colleagues of ICVA.
For Yemen this will include IRC in Yemen as well as the local Yemeni NGO Network
For Iraq, this will include DRC in Iraq as well as the Locally led Network Steering committee members and ICVA’s local partner in Iraq Public Aid Organization
2.3 Documentation and Knowledge Management

Maintain comprehensive records of project activities, decisions, and lessons learned.
Support the production of knowledge products, including case studies, success stories, and briefing notes.
3. COMPETENCIES

5 years of experience in a conflict or post-conflict setting with an INGO or local NGOs in an officer level. Experience of working in complex humanitarian situations is preferred.
Proven experience in project administration and coordination in humanitarian contexts; previous experience in both Yemen and Iraq is an advantage.
Tertiary undergraduate/postgraduate qualifications in international relations, political science, development or another relevant field.
Familiarity with humanitarian principles and response architecture (such as UN or INGO-led coordination mechanisms) and key humanitarian policy issues.
Strong understanding of conflict sensitivity and protection.
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
Proven ability to work autonomously.
Proven ability to work under pressure and be flexible, including ability to cope with deadline, multiple tasks, and competing and changing demands.
Experience in administration and coordination of coalition or secretariat functions a plus.
Strong communication, inter-personal, facilitation and diplomatic skills.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with strong writing and editing skills.
Fluency in Arabic is desirable.
Excellent computer skills.
