Background

The project in Hatay, Yayladağı is designed to support children and caregivers through structured psychosocial interventions. This includes awareness-raising sessions on child protection, creative hobby-based activities, and referrals to specialized services. The approach aims to enhance resilience and emotional well-being among children while involving caregivers to strengthen the protective environment.

Key Functions / Responsibilities

Plan and deliver structured awareness-raising sessions for children and caregivers on child rights, safety, psychosocial well-being, and available protection services, ensuring content is age-appropriate and culturally sensitive.
Facilitate hobby-based and recreational activities (e.g., art, music, storytelling, group games) to support emotional expression, resilience, and social skills development, particularly as part of mobile outreach programs.
Implement and support both group and individual PSS (Psychosocial Support) activities tailored for children experiencing emotional distress or social withdrawal, applying evidence-based child development and well-being practices.
Identify and refer children with specific protection concerns to specialized services in coordination with the case management focal point or protection officer, strictly adhering to internal referral pathways and child safeguarding protocols.
Contribute to documentation, including weekly reports, activity tracking, and feedback collection from children and caregivers to support adaptive program improvement based on lived experiences and learning.
Required Qualifications and Experience

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or a related field:

Child Development
Psychology
Early Childhood or Primary Education
Social Work
Psychological Counseling and Rehabilitation
Other relevant disciplines related to child protection or human development
Certification and Training (Preferred):

Basic Safeguarding and Child Safeguarding
Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Core Concepts
