Life Healthcare Diagnostics is offering a post-graduate student radiographer position in Gauteng.

This position is for a qualified diagnostic radiographer who wants to pursue a post-graduate degree in Nuclear Medicine. All candidates need to be provisionally accepted by the University of Pretoria for the BRad Hons Nuclear Medicine course. Student to rotate between three Gauteng units: Northcliff, Benoni (Glynnwood), Midstream.

Critical Outputs
Assist administrative staff in scheduling patients for nuclear medicine procedures, participate in authorization processes, and communicate with referring doctors and secretaries.
Prepare patients for scheduled nuclear medicine procedures.
Perform procedures with assistance from qualified radiographers.
Perform hotlbab procedures and preparations for radiopharmaceuticals.
Perform administrative tasks related to the business operations.
Participate in all staff meetings, briefings and training.
Maintain acceptable levels of health and safety.
Take part in routine daily inspection of equipment and quality assurance procedures.
Practice according to radiation safety principles.
Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and non-radiographic staff, both internally and supporting units within the hospital.

Requirements

Degree in Diagnostic Radiography
Active HPCSA registration
CPD compliant
Own transport is essential
