Islamic Help is looking for Fundraising Managers, to work alongside the Head of Fundraising and other team members, to increase our activities, brand and profile in London, the Midlands and the North.
The desired candidate/s will ideally have a strong background in fundraising; extensive knowledge of organising events; communicating with donors and engaging with volunteers. They will also be confident with public speaking engagements and be passionate about the causes we support.
The nature of the role demands flexibility and means there will be some unsociable hours, including evenings and weekend work, and the successful candidate will need to be available for every day of month of Ramadan.
To work with the Head of Fundraising and other key departments in the charity to develop the overall strategy for fundraising programmes
To organise and ensure the effective operational management and implementation of community fundraising events and challenges to engage existing and new donors and volunteers
This includes but is not limited to live events and challenges, webinars and live appeals on TV and radio
To manage set expenditure budgets for specific and overall fundraising activities
To build relations with key stakeholders in the target demographic communities that Islamic Help works with
To manage the fundraising team under your supervision and work with the charity’s departments and external bodies to meet set targets and the charity’s overall aims, objectives and missions
To identify, research and develop new fundraising opportunities as well as enhancing relationships with existing supporters and donors
To create and develop appropriately motivating resources (online and offline) to support individual funders, event participants and regional centres
To develop effective communication and marketing plans for fundraising activities in line with set objectives
To travel nationally, and internationally where necessary, to support and assist with the development and fulfilment of fundraising opportunities and activities
