SRD Center is looking for a Research & M&E Specialist to support the design and implementation of a baseline study in Jordan. The specialist will contribute to the research methodology, data collection tools, fieldwork planning, data quality assurance, analysis, and reporting.
The role requires strong experience in mixed-method research, monitoring and evaluation, baseline studies, and field data collection.
Tasks
The specialist will:
Support the development of the baseline study methodology and workplan.
Design or refine quantitative and qualitative data collection tools.
Support sampling, fieldwork planning, and coordination with the data collection team.
Train or orient enumerators and field researchers on tools, ethics, and data quality standards.
Supervise or support field data collection in the target governorates.
Review and clean quantitative and qualitative data.
Conduct data analysis and prepare clear findings.
Contribute to the inception report, fieldwork summary, draft baseline report, and final baseline report.
Support stakeholder analysis, service provider mapping, and community mapping outputs.
Ensure that research findings are practical, evidence-based, and useful for project planning.
Qualifications
Candidates should have:
University degree in research, statistics, social sciences, development studies, monitoring and evaluation, public policy, or a related field.
Strong experience in baseline studies, evaluations, assessments, or applied research.
Good knowledge of mixed-method research, including surveys, KIIs, FGDs, and participatory tools.
Experience with data collection tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK, Excel, SPSS, STATA, Power BI, or similar tools.
Strong skills in data analysis and report writing.
Experience supervising or supporting field data collection teams.
Good understanding of ethical research, informed consent, confidentiality, and data protection.
Fluency in Arabic is required; strong English writing skills are highly preferred.
Previous experience in disability inclusion, protection, social inclusion, or community development studies is an advantage.
