Overall Job Purpose

As part of board, The Resource Mobilizer will strategically support ITF expand on its fundraising capacity.

Responsibilities :

As a member of the board, participate in board meetings and contribute to the overall development of ITF.

Evaluate and review ITF’s fundraising strategies to provide regular feedback and ensure relevance.

Support in the development of new fundraising strategies that meet the requirements/needs of ITF.

Guide the volunteers in mapping and pursuing strategic donors and exploring opportunities for partnership

Have 3 networks with key in-country and/or international donors

Provide guidance in proposal writing and development for key stakeholders with common interest as ITF

Advise all departments within the organization, on relevant donor requirements/compliance, potential funding opportunities, changes in donor priorities and ensuring quality grant management for all related projects.

Coach and mentor the public relations and fundraising team though capacity building programmes and any other way deemed necessary.

Qualifications:

A degree or equivalent in Communications and relevant professional qualifications in Grants Management

Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience with an NGO in a position(s) involving proposal development and donor liaison

Experience of developing successful proposals to the EU and the UN as well as other institutional donors

Experience of developing successful proposals to private donors – trusts and foundations, high net worth individuals and/or corporates

Diplomatic skills and an affinity for cultivating relationships, relationship- building strategies and building consensus among a diverse team.

Excellent writing, reasoning and analytical skills

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to think independently and work collaboratively

Sufficient time to devote and volunteer as a member of the Board

Must be between 25 - 35 years of age.
