Siren seeks to hire a Senior Business & Project Development Officer as part of a growing team, to achieve its business objectives at a regional and international level. You love writing, rigorous project design and have the confidence and skills to drive business development processes. As a key member of Siren Analytics’ vibrant Business Development Team, you will report to the Business Development Lead and work closely with senior leadership in developing organisation BD strategy. The role will be fast-paced and varied and will occasionally require working outside of office hours as we push for proposal submission. You Will

Support the Business Development Lead in all phases of developing new business opportunities, including market research, business forecasts and analysis.
Lead proposal development process from A to Z: driving impactful project design, developing LogFrames and KPIs with M&E teams, coordinating expert and project staff input, developing budgets and ensure the timely submission of formal tenders, expression of interests, concept notes, client pitches, in full compliance with the requirements.
Assist in networking, maintaining client relationships, managing CRM systems, and closing new business opportunities, utilizing strong interpersonal skills and a focus on building connections and fostering long-term relationships.
Implement internal processes related to business and project development, demonstrating strong organizational skills and a thorough approach.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop projects and proposals, emphasizing adaptability and teamwork.
Contribute to strategy development and identification of new business opportunities, staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies and reflecting a forward-thinking and growth-oriented approach.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, such as technology, policy, and development, to develop projects and proposals.
Show financial acumen in ensuring the profitability and sustainability of business activities.
Adhere to the highest ethical standards in all business activities, displaying integrity and transparency.
To Be Successful in The Role You Need

A bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent.
At least 7 years of professional experience in business development (or 5 years with relevant master’s degree) in NGOs or private sector – a mix is considered a plus.
Knowledge of the technology sector a plus.
Strong experience in pitch and proposal development, market analysis, project design on the programmatic and financial levels.
Proactive and growth mindset, ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating self-motivation, initiative, and flexibility.
Strong organizational and coordination abilities, systematic, attention to detail and process oriented
Strong ethical values, excellent research, and analytical and problem-solving skills
Relationship-building and negotiation skills, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English and ability to write compelling, cogent, and concise proposals or pitches quickly with confidence.
Extreme attention to detail, knowing one word over a limit can disqualify a proposal.
