Description

About Mobile Info Team
Mobile Info Team (MIT) envisions a world in which people disadvantaged by displacement or migration have unhindered access to fundamental rights, dignity and the autonomy to shape their future.

MIT’s work is built on two core pillars:

We work alongside people disadvantaged by displacement or migration in Greece to navigate complex legal systems by providing accessible information and tailored case support, empowering them to assert their rights.
We use our daily interactions with people to advocate for systemic change at national and EU levels, amplifying the voices of those affected by exclusionary policies and campaigning for a just asylum and migration system.
What we are looking for
A proactive, enthusiastic, strategic supporter of social justice that has prior experience in providing legal advice and information to people on the move, ideally in Greece. An excellent communicator, team player and motivator, culturally sensitive, self organised individual with a strong interest in navigating complex legal issues.

Duties and Responsibilities
Liaise with external partners and organisations across Greece
Maintain and regularly update the referral sheet and service mapping
Build and strengthen referral pathways with key stakeholders
Organise and coordinate team trainings with external actors
Participate in partner coordination meetings (e.g. WAVE partners, Northern Greece Coordination, LGBTQIA+ Working Group)
Support onboarding of new team members and deliver induction trainings
Provide guidance and technical support to Caseworkers on day-to-day inquiries
Support the day to day operations of the casework team by monitoring workload, checking quality and providing constant feedback

Conduct and support information provision and legal advice on the digital helplines according to the workload of the casework team.
Conduct legal research
Coordinate, supervise and participate in outreach sessions
Deliver trainings on the Greek asylum procedure. Provide additional trainings on demand (e.g. access to the Greek public healthcare system). Contribute to the development of internal training materials and guidelines
Contribute to MIT’s overall priorities and goals as part of long term and ad-hoc projects
Profile
At least 6 months of experience in legal casework and/or information provision for asylum seekers and refugees, ideally within Greece
Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills; additional competence in Greek, Arabic and/or French is strongly preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong understanding of cultural sensitivities
Ability to research and understand complex legal frameworks and their practical application in the Greek asylum context
Experience supporting or supervising other Caseworkers, volunteers, or team members is an asset
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks independently
Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
High level of responsibility, discretion, and professional integrity
Experience working with NGOs, humanitarian organisations, or legal aid providers is an asset
