FEED International Senior Manager, Donor Finance, Ops & Compliance is responsible for providing financial management, operations, and compliance oversite and support for all donor funded projects through to closeout.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Ensure efficient management of donor funds for compliance and high-quality reporting.
Provide oversight of the financial management systems.
Assist Project Leads in developing proposal budgets, workplans and workplan budgets.
Review monthly expenses, budget to actual reports, and accrual reports; and where necessary implement effective strategies to maximize burn rates for FEED projects and subrecipients.
Assist project staff in the preparation of financial reports, in line with donor requirements.
Review procurement packages in accordance with FEED policies and procedures.
Act as a liaison between Project Leads, and other departments, to ensure that all donor reports are submitted as required.
Assist with amendments of donor agreements and subawards, and incremental funding requests.
Manage subrecipient pre-award assessments.
Facilitate ad-hoc requests from donors.
Monitor and coordinate the implementation of donor agreements and subawards, and ensure that financial management policies and procedures are being followed.
Ensure timely understanding, communication and implementation of donor regulations and requirements.
Keep abreast of changes/updates of donor regulations and ensure that internal policies and procedures are aligned and disseminated to relevant staff.
Inform changes within projects to address non-compliance issues, in collaboration with Project Leads.
Ensure that all legal agreements pertaining to program implementation, including donor and subaward agreements are reviewed and approved in line with organisational requirements.
Ensure that projects are adequately staffed and assist in identifying training requirements.
Assist in providing internal capacity development of country office finance staff and Project Leads in terms of donor requirements, budgeting, and financial management.

BA degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years’ experience with an international non-profit organization carrying out work with little guidance or supervision required
