POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Program Financial Analyst provides financial monitoring, analysis, reporting, and test administration support for Advising and Testing programs at HQ and in field offices. S/he conducts historical and project-based financial analysis, makes recommendations to support decisions in contract negotiation, pricing, budgeting, marketing, and other areas, and keeps automated Excel/databases up to date. S/he will also be involved in managing online testing platform interfaces, test administration setup, and reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and update the complex testing databases for test administration (currently using Excel and Visual Basic or Python)
Review and interpret CostPoint and CER financial and analysis reports
Prepare and submit forecasts for internal and external clients on monthly or other required schedules
Communicate with field office staff regarding financial concerns and support planning for improvement
Prepare reports--creating analytical presentations on advising and testing trends organizationally
Prepare/assist with preparation of budgets and pricing
Automate various processes related to department activities
Provide analysis of project activity (profit, loss, efficiency, etc.) of projects over time
Develop financial dashboards incorporating key drivers/metrics for senior management and external clients
Oversee preparation of project coding for credit card and other sales and receipts through Sales Orders, spreadsheets, invoices, and related documents
Oversee and track invoice receipt and creation and payments
Oversee cash and receipt forecasts for use by Finance
Support monthly Finance closing and reconciliation efforts
Manage and conduct analysis of test score and test administration data
Submit summary reports and invoices to clients
Write communications and reports as required by clients and Amideast
Train department staff on various processes
Maintain high ethical standards of confidentiality and professional, cooperative attitude in representing Amideast
Assume other special activities and responsibilities from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required
Four (4) or more year’s relevant full-time work experience
Experience with financial software, Deltek CostPoint preferred
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting purposes, including creation of Pivot Tables
Experience in coding/programming such as Visual Basic (VBA) and Python
Precise attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills along with ability to see broader picture
A working knowledge of educational advising services and standardized English language and workforce assessment tools and tests is helpful
A working knowledge of business development and marketing strategies is helpful
Ability to work within deadlines and frequently shifting priorities
Excellent written and spoken communications skills
Demonstrated ability to learn new, complex software
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
