Job Purpose:
The Transitional Justice Program Coordinator will implement justice reform initiatives, support institutional change, and foster collaboration with Syrian civil society organizations and initiatives. The coordinator will play a critical role in advancing transitional justice programs, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring the success of workshops, reports, and team activities.
Job Duration: End of 2025, Renewable upon funds availability
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the work plan in adherence to established timelines.
- Organize workshops, including participant selection, communication, and logistical arrangements.
- Draft periodic and comprehensive reports on project progress and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager to align efforts with the objectives of various departments.
- Attend regular team meetings and all activities relevant to the role.
- Undertake additional tasks assigned by the Program Manager.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar role within national or international NGOs.
- An academic degree in law, political science, international relations, or a related field.
- Specialized training or certifications in transitional justice, institutional reform, or similar areas would be an advantage.
- Experience in transitional justice programs and institutional reform initiatives.
- Strong understanding of and ability to communicate with Syrian organizations, initiatives, and official institutions.
- Resident in Syria preferably Damascus, with the ability to travel across provinces.
