About MiCT

Media in Cooperation and Transition (MiCT) is a non-profit organisation delivering expert media services in complex and challenging contexts with passion, precision, and agility.

Through collaborative work with partners, MiCT fosters transparent, inclusive, and fair dialogue supporting resilient societies. Operating across three continents and 15 countries, MiCT facilitates journalist training, media content production, research, monitoring, and supports the financial sustainability of media partners.

Description of the role

To support translation of the key project documents MiCT is looking for a freelance translator (Arabic/English). Tasks include:

Written translation of surveys from English to Arabic
Written translation of project reports and documents from English to Arabic
Written translation of interview responses from Arabic to English
Verbal simultaneous translation during meetings, interviews and trainings as required
Application Requirements

Successful applicants should be able to provide proof of the following:

Extensive professional translation experience
Knowledge of vocabulary pertaining to journalism and press freedom
Experience working with NGOs and iNGOs preferred
