Description

Serving Together for Social Development (STS) is a national NGO working to improve the lives of vulnerable communities in Somalia through sustainable development and humanitarian interventions. We are currently implementing a WASH project in Dinsoor District to improve access to safe and sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene services for 18,000 individuals, including displaced persons, women, children, and persons with disabilities.

STS invites qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the following full-time field-based positions:

1. Water Quality Monitor (1 Position)

Location: Dinsoor District

Key Role: Conduct water sampling and testing before and after shock chlorination of water sources; ensure drinking water complies with public health and humanitarian standards.
Qualification: Diploma or degree in Environmental Health, Laboratory Technology, or related field; 2+ years of experience in water quality testing.

2. Hygiene Promotion Expert (1 Position)

Location: Dinsoor District

Key Role: Lead design and implementation of hygiene promotion activities; develop culturally appropriate messaging and supervise Community Hygiene Promoters.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or related field; 3+ years of hygiene promotion experience in humanitarian contexts.

3. WASH Assistant (1 Position)

Location: Dinsoor District

Key Role: Support implementation of hygiene promotion and WASH infrastructure activities; coordinate with community stakeholders and provide field-level support to the WASH team.
Qualification: Diploma in Public/Environmental Health; 2+ years of experience in WASH implementation.

4. Community Hygiene Promoter (6 Positions)

Location: Dinsoor District
Key Role: Mobilize communities for hygiene sessions, promote safe hygiene practices, and support hygiene kit distribution and awareness campaigns.
Qualification: Certificate in Public Health or Community Health; at least 1 year of community mobilization experience.
