Position Summary
The Syrian Women Network is seeking to recruit a MEAL Officer to support the implementation of a protection project in Afrin. The role aims to ensure quality programming through effective monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning practices, in line with humanitarian standards and protection principles.
Key Responsibilities
Design data collection tools (monitoring forms, beneficiary satisfaction surveys, and feedback tools).
Track and analyze project indicators (outputs and outcomes).
Prepare monthly and quarterly MEAL reports.
Support the implementation and monitoring of accountability and complaints mechanisms.
Review case management and referral data in an anonymized and aggregated manner, ensuring confidentiality.
Provide evidence-based recommendations to improve project performance.
Ensure compliance with protection principles, including confidentiality, Do No Harm, and informed consent.
Required Qualifications
University degree in statistics, social sciences, project management, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in MEAL, preferably within protection or humanitarian projects.
Strong knowledge of MEAL concepts, PSEA, and protection principles.
Experience with data collection and analysis tools (e.g. Google Forms, Kobo, Excel).
Excellent reporting and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with field and technical teams.
Previous experience working in Afrin or Aleppo countryside is an asset.
