Job Description

Dispense medications to patients according to prescriptions and the pharmacist’s instructions
Prepare, organize, and properly store medications and pharmaceutical supplies
Monitor medication stock and expiry dates and report shortages
Receive medications and supplies and verify quantities, expiry dates, and packaging integrity
Document medication dispensing and receiving and maintain accurate pharmacy records
Follow medication safety, proper storage, and infection prevention procedures
Coordinate with the pharmacist and medical team to ensure the safe use of medications

Requirements

Diploma or degree in Pharmacy or Pharmacy Technology from a recognized educational institution
Valid professional license, as applicable
Previous experience in a pharmacy or hospital setting; at least one year of experience is preferred
Good knowledge of medications and proper storage and dispensing procedures
Good computer and data documentation skills
Ability to work effectively within a team with accuracy and professional confidentiality
