Description
Role of the Program Coordinator:
SEED is seeking a Program Coordinator to support and coordinate the implementation and management of an international grant program to support children and survivors of violence, and strengthen child protection systems. The Program Coordinator will assist in all aspects of the program, including planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting. The Program Coordinator will report to the Program Manager.
Specific tasks:
Program and Project Implementation (60%)
Assist the Program Manager with program planning and the full cycle of program implementation.
Support grants management, including creation of paper and electronic filing systems, and filing and tracking grant documents.
Develop and maintain a list of reporting deadlines for grants and play a key role in the collection of data, ensuring accuracy of data, and report writing, ensuring high quality reporting.
Update the work plans and track progress towards programmatic targets, ensuring any challenges are immediately flagged.
Ensure that program procurement is in line with SEED’s policies and donor regulations.
Working closely with management and SEED’s Technical Unit, ensure implementation of effective ways to provide high quality services.
Work closely with other internal departments, ensure implementation of effective strategies to improve Child protections, particularly focused on online violence and reduce violence through awareness-raising, advocacy and increased local government capacity.
Reporting (20%)
Lead on the provision of content for quarterly and final program reports, following up with relevant implementing teams to collect inputs and ensure that data is accurate.
Support the Program Manager in collecting, analyzing, and presenting achievements for annual and organizational reporting.
Communications and Outreach (20%)
Support on the development of communications and awareness materials including success stories and social media communications.
Assist in campaigns and events as per need.
Other Responsibilities
Participate in all training instructed by the supervisor.
Performs other duties as necessary, as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience and Competencies:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; experience in Iraq is considered an asset.
Master’s degree relevant for development work, preferably related to gender studies, human rights, international development, law, social work, social sciences or other relevant areas.
Experience in international development or humanitarian settings working with survivors of violence. Experience on human rights, child protection, and gender will be considered an asset.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and cross-cultural abilities.
Strong ability to work independently, including the ability to multitask, prioritize competing tasks, and manage time effectively.
Strong ability to draft donor reports.
Ability to work in a stressful setting and adapt quickly to changing environments.
Well-organized, self-motivated, and ability to work in a team.
Fluent in English (native speaker preferred); Arabic and Kurdish language skills are an asset.
Willingness to live in KRI.
