Description
About the job
Kvinna till Kvinna has been supporting women’s rights in the Great Lakes region since 2009. With the launch of this programme, we are expanding our cross-regional collaboration at a time when cooperation across borders is increasingly vital for peace, climate justice, and women’s participation.
As Programme Manager, you will oversee the coordination, implementation, and follow-up of this cross-regional initiative. This includes leading programme planning, monitoring, and risk management, as well as partner selection and ongoing collaboration. You will also be responsible for commissioning key studies — such as the baseline and end-line evaluations, research, and mappings — and for procuring relevant consultants to support programme delivery.
Assisted by the regional Finance teams, you will hold overall responsibility for programme budgeting, financial monitoring, and reporting. You will maintain an active dialogue with donors and ensure high-quality reporting in coordination with the wider programme team.
In collaboration with programme and advocacy staff, you will lead the planning and delivery of workshops, trainings, and capacity-strengthening activities at the regional level, and support the development of content and methodology for national initiatives. You will also manage sub-granting to women-led organisations, supporting both advocacy efforts and grassroots initiatives in DRC, Uganda, and Rwanda.
While the role does not include line management responsibilities, you will guide the daily work of staff engaged in the programme across the two regional offices and work closely with colleagues at Head Office in Stockholm.
